To My Dad!

Dear Dad,

You're always worried that you haven't give your children enough; that somehow you've failed us. And maybe you're right. We've never driven brand new cars or had a swimming pool in the backyard. But Dad, you've given us much more than cars or swimming pools. You've given us the means and abilities to earn our own cars. Because of you and your tireless example we know how to work. We know what determination is; we know that when life isn't peaches and cream we should never give up or give in. We've felt disappointment but you've taught us to keep on keepin' on. Dad, you've taught us more about surviving and excelling in life than having a new car ever would have.

And, on top of all those lessons, you've taught us something even more important. You taught us about our Heavenly Father. You showed us His plan and now you're helping us down His path and through His gate. Nothing in this world can ever compare to this gift. This lesson you've taught us. Thank you Dad, for showing us how to battle and succeed in life, but more importantly how to rely on our Father. Your selfless love, patience, and charity are the greatest treasures you could ever give and you've given them to us. We love you Dad - more than you'll ever know and we think you're doing ok!! Thanks for never giving us new cars but instead teaching us our greatest lessons.
