My Dearest Mother
My lovely mother called last week just to inform me that since the incident with the giant trophy in 6th grade I can no longer spell.
Apparently remodling isn't the same as remodEling. Oopps!

We Are Friends!
For the last several weeks, my Bryce and I have had the opportunity, pleasure, adventure, experience, or what-have-you to have a semi-permanent house guest.
Jeffery "The Bowler Extraordinaire" J.K.
(Previously introduced here, as the Stroker!)
Jeff is a good friend of my Bryce and, given some family issues, we decided that he needed to become part of our little clan; at least for awhile. While Jeff was visiting we had way more fun than usual. I mean, no one likes staying with lame, stay-at-home hosts like my Bryce and I usually are; Jeff especially dislikes people like this. So we adventured.
We took a trip to see the "big white church in George" a.k.a the Latter-day Saint temple in St. George, UT, spent infinite hours playing Wii bowling, took a trip to visit the "above parents" in N-town, faithfully attended EVERY SUU Women's Basketball game (Yes, we are the fans in the second row :}), single-handedly kept ESPN in business by watching SportsCenter 24/7, gad a rocking Super Bowl par-tay, spent many an hour harrassing Papa B, Lonna and 'Lest aka Hairy aka Celeste, christened Erin Jo and Kyle's baby Fuffie (Jeff's choice, not mine), and made super-delicious-can't-get-enough-homemade granola bars. Take that Quaker Oats Man a.k.a the devilish preservative king of the world!
I really like using a.k.a. It's because I want to be a super secret spy with an a.k.a name. Ask my students!
It was quite the eventful few weeks and we are very grateful for the time Jeff spent with us. Of course he still comes over on week night to chill, but its not the same as having him everyday. We (and by we I mean me because my Bryce is nearly perfect in all of these areas so by overgeneralizing I don't feel too terrible) learned a lot about patience, gratitude, question answering, love, bowling, cast-wearing, and charity while Jeff was with us.
I now, give a running commentary of what I am doing and why I am doing it. It's a Jeff-born habit.
Semi-adopting Jeff was a very unique, inspiring blessing that I will never forget. Because really, who doesn't like getting big ol' hugs with the proclamation, "We are friends, right!", every half hour a.k.a Jeff's hugs are best :)

Take a Bow little J.J., Take a Bow!
I would just like to thank my little Jean Jacket. The same little wardrobe staple that has taken up closet space since I was 17. Today my loyal, button-y, blue, brown stitched usually rejected companion helped me hear the compliment every woman dreams of waking up to. This morning, I put this on and my Bryce said
"Daaanggg! You look hot."
That's right J.J., you and me, we look hot. So, take a bow Jean Jacket. You deserve it :)

I WRITE
I WRITE a lot. I WRITE book reviews for Papa B Brian Heuett's class. I WRITE love notes, really mushy love notes, to my Bryce. I WRITE very patient, explanatory emails to students with less-than-intelligent questions. I WRITE quizzes and I WRITE t-h-o-u-s-a-n-d-s of reaction papers. And, maybe, if I'm lucky I will soon start WRITING my thesis. Oh, the glorious day! I WRITE grocery lists, to-do lists and things-I-love-about-my-husband lists. (I luuuuvvveee lists) And this morning I WROTE Jeff's very clever biography. I WRITE fabulous Facebook comments and sassy text messages and brilliant literary works. Well, the literary works are mostly WRITTEN in my dreams, but seriously people I WRITE a lot; which, unfortunately, leaves no time at all to WRITE a blog post. My most sincere apologies. Maybe one day. . . when I have nothing else left to WRITE I will remember to post, but for now there is no WRITTING time. Alas, there is time to read so YOU keep WRITING. Please, thank you, post at you soon.
P.S. I have to WRITE (and give) a talk on Sunday. Anyone have any information on the love of money if the root of all evil? Yep, that really is the topic :)
P.S.S. The following comic has nothing to do with anything but I thought Erin Jo would appreciate a picture with all these words and since she's having my niece/nephew she gets what she wants!! :)
